The CGS Team is sharing 5 beauty habits to start forming now so you can thank us in the future!
Sun Protecting
Taking care of your skin against the harsh rays of the sun is very important. It not only prevents your skin from being exposed to complexion-killing UV rays, it helps make you appear younger and more vibrant. No more looking for the fountain of youth when you have great sun protection products shielding you from those nasty beams of light.
On one hand it’s important to get enough Vitamin D, which the sun is great for supplying. However, be sure that you are protecting your skin appropriately by wearing a daily moisturizer with SPF. Even if the sun appears to be hiding behind the clouds, it’s good to apply it anyways. Check out some of our favorite moisturizers with SPF.
Brow Shaping
Shaping your brows the correct way is great skill to have! The right brows can bring out your facial features or make your whole face look off. Brow shaping yourself or getting them done by a professional can open your eyes, making you appear more rejuvenated. Whether you have thick brows or thin ones, it’s important to take the proper steps in cleaning them up.
From threading to waxing, maybe a combination of everything, keeping your brows cleaned up makes it easier for when you apply facial care products. Also, knowing how to do your own brows can save you quite a bit of money in the long run! Have you seen our tutorial on shaping your own brows?
Moisturizing
Moisture is the best kept secret to great skin. Moisturizing should be done on your face, your hands and all over your body. The key to keeping yourself moisturized throughout the day, is to apply a long-lasting lotion to your skin is right after the shower.
CGS founder Raya loves Jergen’s Original Lotion because of its ability to keep her skin soft all day long! After your shower, pat dry yourself, and begin applying the lotion to your damp skin. Slather the lotion all over your body! As you get older your skin needs additional help in maintaining moisture, starting the moisture process now will reduce the amount of cracks and wrinkles you have as you age.
Exfoliating
Exfoliating your skin is a crucial part of the face wash routine. It removes the dead skin cells sticking to your face, leaving your complexion looking brighter and more even. Finding the perfect exfoliator is imperative because everyone has different skin types.
Oily, dry, or combination. Whatever skin type you have, be sure to purchase an exfoliator that aids your skin. It’s preferable to exfoliate every 2-3 days to not avoid drying out the natural oils of your skin. Along with exfoliating your face, you can also exfoliate your whole body of dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling soft and looking amazing.
Drinking Water
Water is a vital component of life that should be incorporated into your beauty habits. However you prefer your water, all water contains some form of nutrients that is good for your health. It is essential to drink at least 8 glasses a day to help your body get rid of toxins. To maintain youthful skin, and healthy organs, water is the number solution. It also helps keep your metabolism in tip-top shape!
