Affirmations are one of the best tools to help you become the best version of yourself and channel your inner beauty. If you are not familiar with what an affirmation is, don't feel out of place. An affirmation is the action or process of affirming something. It can also be emotional support or encouragement. When affirming something to yourself, it is important to believe what you are affirming will eventually come to pass.
If you are lacking confidence in yourself and want to inherit more, it’s important to affirm and tell yourself that today you will be confident in yourself and all that you do. The more you tell yourself that you can do something, the chances of you actually doing it will be higher. Check out these nine self-affirmations to channel your inner beauty.
I have friends that complement my beauty genuinely
Surrounding yourself with people who are positive and genuine is a light in life that should never dim. Whom you choose to surround yourself with is important because ultimately you are the company you keep. If you are always around folks who are talking down to you and never uplifting you, then you will eventually start to believe those lies. You should affirm in your life that you have friends that compliment your beauty genuinely. Friends who do not uplift one another are not true friends.
I am at peace with my body and physical form
Being at peace with who you are and how you look will give you the confidence you never knew you had. So many times, females are pressured to look a certain way or dress in a specific manner. In reality, the only person that should be pleased by how they look is you!
If you are at peace with how you feel and you are healthy, then you should not change for anyone. You are the captain of your own body and if you do not feel like a change needs to happen, then don’t make a change. Affirm to yourself that you are at peace with your body and its physical form and the rest will follow.
I honor my body
Love and respect your body. We are given only one body during this lifetime and it is vital we embrace it and take care of it. Honoring your body can include making sure you consume the right foods to stay strong and healthy, working out consistently, and getting massages.
On the other hand, perhaps purchasing the right beauty products to ensure your glow is at its best can make a difference. Honor your body with respect so you never let another individual cross the line and disrespect you. Affirming this will allow your beauty to shine bright!
I am beautiful, graceful, and elegant
A great deal of times we do not hear from others how beautiful, graceful and elegant we are. In all actuality, we should not leave it to strangers to tell us the things that we already know. Affirm to yourself that you are beautiful, you are graceful, and you are elegant. The more you tell yourself these truths the more you believe it and walk in your calling.
Being beautiful does not mean just outer beauty. It can also mean how you treat others. Being graceful does not mean you are a walking princess. It can also mean you are nice to those who are not nice back. Being elegant does not mean you have the most expensive outfit on in the room, it means you can rock anything and still look amazing!
All the food I consume nourishes my beautiful body
You do not have to be a size zero to be beautiful. Women come in all shapes and sizes and we must embrace our beauty for what it is. Starving yourself to fit into a pair of jeans is not the way to go. Food nourishes our body and helps us grow and stay healthy. Without food, we fall short of the nutrients we need to live. Affirm to yourself that the food you eat is food that will nourish your body and to help your beauty last.
I am a beautiful person, inside and out
Being beautiful is not anything if it does not match what is on the inside. Nobody cares if your outer beauty is amazing but your actions and personality are ugly. Outer beauty can only last so long, until those around you start to see the real you. The inner you will always find its way to outshine the physical traits. Affirm daily that you are a beautiful person, inside and out, and see how bright you shine!
My skin is clear and radiant
Whether you weathered the storm of the annoying puberty phase and acne that came with it or not, it is important to know that everyone has different skin types, including the oily skin type, the combination skin type, or the dry skin type.
Women’s skin also changes when it is that time of the month and they notice break outs from their menstrual cycle. Life happens and breakouts will occur, but affirm that your skin is clear and radiant and you will not focus as much on that peeping pimple. Be sure you drink plenty of water and wash your linens so your skin can flourish.
I possess beauty and brains
Possessing beauty and brains is the most beautiful thing in the world. You are smart enough to know that you do not have to depend on good looks to get you where you need to go. Affirming this will channel your inner beauty in ways you never imagined. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you must remind yourself that not everyone is interested in the same look. Without brains, you may as well live under a rock.
I am naturally beautiful and attractive
Many times, we sometimes feel that we need extra work to feel beautiful and attractive. As I’ve mentioned before, being beautiful comes from within. Yes, I know it sounds cliché, but it is the truth. Beauty is all about how you carry yourself and how you feel about yourself deep inside. Telling yourself that you are naturally beautiful and you do not need cosmetic surgery to feel attractive will change your viewpoint.
Looking in the mirror reminding yourself of who you are or where you want to be in life is healthy. We are all beautiful and intelligent in our own right. Therefore, it is vital for us to embrace our imperfections and not let the standards of society tell us differently.
