6 Ways to Treat Yourself… For Once!

Some individuals do not have an issue with treating and splurging on themselves. While others tend to wait until they absolutely need something to muster up the courage to spend a few dollars on themselves. Spending money on yourself should come easy! However, if you are part of the small selfless group maybe it is time you do treat yourself. Check out six easy ways to treat yourself, and enjoy doing it!

Buy a new book
Purchasing a new book is a treat, especially when you are a book reader. Feeding your brain new and interesting material is such an amazing feeling! Whether you like electronic books or the old fashion hard copy, stop by your local bookstore and pick up a new copy of whatever is catching your eye.

In addition, adding new books to your ever-growing collection is great. If you are not in a position to buy a new book no worries, the cool thing about libraries and bookstores is you can read the book there. Enjoy some me time while letting your mind indulge in some reading.

Spa Day

If you have never experienced a spa day, I highly encourage you to! Truly, an amazing and restful experience is a real treat. Whether you want a full body massage or just a facial, treating yourself to a spa day is necessary on your bucket list of treating yourself.

Check out your local spa, see what services they offer, and from the list choose what fits you best. Typically, spa prices vary depending on the service you want, but nonetheless prices usually start around $45. Check out Spa Treatments Worth the Splurge for a few ideas.

Take the day off

Spending money on treating yourself is not the only way to go. Treating yourself can come in many different forms. Perhaps you want to take the day off and just enjoy your day doing absolutely nothing but resting your mind and being lazy.

There is nothing wrong with taking the day off from work and lying in bed until you feel you are ready for the world. Taking that time to just rest is a real treat in itself!

Be Purposeful

One thing you must do in life is live life with a purpose. The secret to life is just that, and there is no better feeling this world can give you. The treat in being purposeful is free and does not cost you anything. It is important to be purposeful!

Once you decide what it is you want to spend your money or time on, the real treat begins. There is nothing greater than being in the moment and not letting other things dictate what it is that brings joy to you.  Do you want to start a business? Do you want to volunteer? Think about what would give your life purpose, and then go after it!

Make a small purchase

Treating yourself does not require you to spend your entire paycheck (unless that is something you want to do). You can make a small purchase like buying yourself a new bottle of fragrance or even the pair of earrings you were eyeing at the jewelry store last week.

Small purchases can also be seen as treating yourself. Honestly, if it is not included in your daily routine of purchases, it therefore is a treat for you. Small purchases vary amongst the consumer, so do not feel your small purchase should be compared to the next shopper.

Treat yourself to Dinner

We live in a day and age where women are becoming more independent and not wanting to serve others before taking care of themselves. You do not have to wait for someone to ask you on a date to go to that new restaurant that just opened up.

Treat yourself and dine in at that restaurant, and order whatever your heart desires from the menu. On the other hand, treat yourself to a home cooked meal that you have not made in a while.  Whatever it is you decide to do in treating yourself to a meal be sure it is one of your own choices so the indulgence is that much better.

Treating yourself is just that, a treat for you from you! It is always nice doing stuff for other people, but it is also important to realize you have to take some time out to treat yourself every now and then too. It does not necessarily have to be something expensive, perhaps maybe picking up your favorite ice cream or picking yourself up that top you said you wanted from your favorite designer.
