Say farewell to hundreds of dollars being spent on coffee-shop style coffee and hello to big savings! Spending money on coffee can be annoying, but it sure is tasty! Instead of wasting your hard earned cash on coffee why not just make your own? Yeah, sure we know making coffee isn’t always as good as buying it, but I beg to differ that the tasty coffee recipes below are worth giving a shot!

Irish Coffee
Many times us working folks need a cup of Joe to get our day started, let alone a pick me up in the middle of the day to help up us finish strong. This upgraded recipe includes the basic brew, some whip cream and a small amount of alcohol to taste for the weekend coffee drinkers.

Irish coffee is known to be strong, delicious, and warming for those cold mornings or late nights. Here is how you can make your flavorful cup just for you.  You will need the following (if you don’t already have in your cupboards) 1 1/4 cups of water, three teaspoons of instant or homemade brew coffee, two tablespoons of whisky, two teaspoons of brown sugar and 100-150ml of whipping cream.

The instructions are simple, lightly whip the cream, then add the 1 ¼ cup of hot water. Put one teaspoon of sugar, and one-tablespoon whisky into each cup and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Then, viola, you have yourself your very own cup of Irish coffee.

Iced Coffee

As many hot coffee drinkers there are in the world there’s even more iced coffee drinkers to match or top at that. In many cases, when the weather is hot out and coffee goers still need a mug of coffee, they go for an iced coffee to stay cool, while still getting that caffeine rush. If this recipe doesn’t change your life then I don’t know what to tell you!

The ingredients are simple and very affordable to grab if you want to get them from the grocery store. You will need one to three teaspoons of instant coffee grounds (of course to your preference), you will need cold water since you are making an iced coffee and not a regular hot brew. You will need our favorite creamer (whether its caramel, vanilla, or almond milk) and ice

Once you have selected your desired ingredients you will add your creamer to a glass and stir well. (Usually a couple tablespoons of creamer, we encourage you to play around with it until you find your enjoyable taste). Fill your glass with cold water – again we strongly base this off of how strong you want your iced coffee to taste.

Lastly, add your coffee grounds. Stir constantly and allow the coffee to fully dissolve – which can take a few minutes. Finish by adding ice and enjoy your refreshing beverage! You can also read How to Create Your Own Cold Brew Coffee.

Almond Milk Mocha Coffee
This simple-to-make coffee recipe won’t let your taste buds down! In just a few minutes, this instant coffee will have you up and going like you just went to your favorite coffee shop. However you prefer to make your coffee, whether it’s instant or in a coffee pot, you first will need to make your brew.

In a small saucepan, whisk together almond milk, sugar, cocoa powder and instant coffee over medium-low heat. Whisk often for 2-3 minutes or until heated. Pour into a coffee mug and top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce if desired.

The Classic Latte

A latte is great any time of day – which why it is important to know how to make your own. Many would argue that the best thing in the afternoon is a nap, however I would like to argue that an afternoon latte satisfies that pleasure even more!

You will need one rounded teaspoon of instant coffee, six ounces of foamy hot milk, and one teaspoon of flavored creamer (if that’s your preference). To make your latte using the ingredients, add instant coffee to glass, if you plan on using the creamer, add it to the coffee at this time.

Once that step is complete, you can make your froth. If you have a milk froth gadget, heat and froth the milk. If you do not, heat over medium heat on stove and whisk to manually froth. Combine hot milk with your instant coffee, stir and enjoy until your heart desires!
