What better way to pamper yourself without breaking the bank! Body scrubs are the absolute best and I encourage everyone to try it at least once in their life. Body scrub is a mixture of emollient and abrasive particles, which is rubbed onto the surface of the skin in order to exfoliate dead skin cells. Even the most basic recipe does a brilliant job at exfoliating, moisturizing and rejuvenating the skin. Check out these 4 easy body scrub recipes you can make at home!

Easy body scrub recipes

Sugar Scrub
Only two basic ingredients are needed to make a super simple sugar scrub recipe. Those ingredients include an essential oil of your choice, and sugar of course! Aside from those two items, the possibilities of scrub creations are endless. There are plenty of sugar options to choose from, though granulated is the best.

You also have an endless selection of oils to choose from for your fragrance! To make a sugar scrub, combine the sugar and oil together, and place in a bowl or jar. Apply the sugar scrub liberally to body and massage in.  Rinse off with warm water.  Sugar scrubs should last for quite a long time on a shelf, as long as it has a lid on it.

Coffee Scrub

If you love the smell of coffee then you are going to fall in love with this particular scrub. This 3-ingredient homemade coffee body scrub is easy to make and nourishing for dry skin. You will need a half a cup of coffee grounds, ¼ cup brown sugar, and ¼ cup coconut oil.

Mix all three of the ingredients together and store in an airtight container. If you have tried using a coffee scrub, you most certainly will want to. Coffee grounds are slightly abrasive but still gentle as a skin exfoliator – which is why it’s one of my favorite body scrub ingredients.

A coffee scrub is great for nourishing your skin, and it is great because it incorporates everyday ingredients. You most definitely will be proud of yourself for staying within your budget when it comes to your beauty and skin regime.

Aloe Vera Scrub

Take 1/4 cup of brown sugar, one-tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, and one tablespoon of aloe vera gel to make a one-time scrub. Mix all the ingredients and rub in a circular motion onto your body and face. Each ingredient in this scrub holds a specific ability in giving your skin just what it needs.

Sugar helps to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells. Which ultimately gives your skin that clean, beautiful look. Aloe vera helps to deep clean the skin; it has amazing healing properties for beauty purposes. Lastly, the olive oil helps to gradually fade sun spots and clears your skin tone.

Sea Salt Scrub

Here is what you will need to create the perfect sea salt scrub. One cup of coarse sea salt, ½ cup of liquid coconut oil, and five to seven drops of your preferred essential oil. Essential oils have varying properties that are healing and healthful for the body.

The most popular essential oils to add to beauty products are: lavender, wild orange, frankincense, peppermint (diluted), eucalyptus, lemon, and grapefruit. Gather your supplies and start by pouring 1 cup of sea salt into the empty glass container.

From there, pour 1/2 cup of coconut oil over the salt. Finally, add 5 to 7 drops of essential oil to the mixture. Stir all the ingredients until they’re well combined. Be mindful to always do your research on essential oil safety before using them for the first time.

Use scrub sparingly — about once or twice a week — by spooning a small amount into your hands, gently rubbing it in, rinsing it off with warm water, and drying your hands thoroughly.
