#166: How to Start Thinking Long-Term with Money

Do you often catch yourself saying things like “I’m only young once” or “I’ll figure out how to make more money later”?

These short-term justifications for spending might feel good in the moment, but over time, they can hold you back from building the financial future you truly deserve.

Don’t get me wrong—I’m all about enjoying life and living in the moment.

But as your money coach, I’m here to tell you that thinking long-term with your money doesn’t mean sacrificing all your fun now. It means creating a balance between enjoying today and securing your future.

Instead of letting YOLO (“you only live once”) be your driving mantra behind spending, let’s shift that mindset. Let’s make decisions that not only accommodate your current self but also set your future self up for success, stability, and peace of mind.

The good news? You can train your brain to think long-term with money. It’s not about being perfect or transforming your habits overnight—it’s about taking small, intentional steps that add up to big changes over time.

In this episode, I’m sharing 5 practical ways you can start training yourself to think long-term with money starting today.

Whether you’re struggling with impulsive spending or just need help staying focused on your financial goals, this episode is packed with actionable tips to help you get there.
