Recipe: Matcha Latte

Getting tired of your standard morning coffee? What if you could get a dose of caffeine and an antioxidant boost? A matcha latte is what you need! Matcha is an ingredient typically found in green tea that contains caffeine, as well as antioxidants. What’s even better is that matcha can be used to create a latte! What a great way to switch up your typical coffee? We’re sharing a yummy matcha latte recipe from Bon Appétit to get out of your coffee routine.

Matcha Latte Recipe


Servings: 1

-3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, soy milk, rice milk, or regular milk
-1 teaspoon matcha powder
-Agave syrup or sweetener

Matcha powder can be found at your local Asian market or online at


Bring 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, soy milk, rice milk, or cow’s milk to a bare simmer in a small pot over medium-high heat.

Place 1 teaspoon matcha powder in a heatproof cup. Slowly whisk in 1/4 cup boiling water, then almond milk, tipping cup slightly to help create more foam. Sweeten with agave syrup or sweetener of choice.
