Matcha is an ingredient typically found in green tea that contains caffeine, as well as antioxidants. What’s even better is that matcha can be used to create a latte! What a great way to switch up your typical coffee? We’re sharing a yummy matcha latte recipe from Bon Appétit to get out of your coffee routine.
Matcha Latte Recipe
Ingredients
Servings: 1
-3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, soy milk, rice milk, or regular milk
-1 teaspoon matcha powder
-Agave syrup or sweetener
Matcha powder can be found at your local Asian market or online at www.inpursuitoftea.com.
Preparation
Bring 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk, soy milk, rice milk, or cow’s milk to a bare simmer in a small pot over medium-high heat.
Place 1 teaspoon matcha powder in a heatproof cup. Slowly whisk in 1/4 cup boiling water, then almond milk, tipping cup slightly to help create more foam. Sweeten with agave syrup or sweetener of choice.
