My Bucket List Travel Destinations

Oh, to be able to travel again!! I remember reading something that said that travel in 2022 was way more than pre-pandemic times (even in these times of inflation). I think everyone can agree with me when I say that I’m no longer going to take traveling for granted, especially after these past couple years in a global pandemic.

I truly value traveling and have been blessed to visit places all throughout the U.S., and internationally such as Paris, London, Seoul, Tokyo, Toronto, San Juan, and Central Mexico. As I’m getting my budget and finances in order, I want to make sure that I properly plan to visit as many countries as I can.

I even have a personal goal of visiting all 50 states by the time I’m 50. I even have a physical map that I can scratch off each state I visit…let’s just say I have some traveling to do haha. So, in no particular order, I’m going to share my personal bucket list travel destinations and why they made my list!

My travel bucket list destinations…

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Ok, so this is number one on my list because I have been trying to get to Cabo for the past 10 years haha! Every time I try to plan a trip to Cabo, something happens, and it never comes into fruition. Why Cabo? Well, I feel like Cabo San Lucas is just the luxury of all the resort cities in Mexico, like Tulum, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Puerto Vallarta.

This has been the ONLY resort city in Mexico that I truly cannot wait to go to, and I know I’ll get there one day soon!

Prince Edward Island, Canada

I may be showing my age here, but this destination is purely based on my love of the Anne of Green Gables books and movies! I remember reading L.M. Montgomery’s classic books during 7th grade and reading how she describes Prince Edward Island was just pure bliss, as if she was describing a piece of heaven on Earth.

Of course, after doing some research, I learned that this is a popular tourist destination, with its own Anne of Green Gables tour, Anne of Green Gables souvenir store, and restaurant! This may be a solo trip for me, as I envision myself renting out a cute cottage, and living the cottage-core dream haha!

Santorini/Mykonos/Athens, Greece
Greece has always been a place that I’ve wanted to visit, and since I am a huge fan of Greek mythology, Athens was always on my list. However, as I started to discover more about the Greek islands and saw pictures of both Santorini and Mykonos, I knew that my future trip to Greece would have to include multiple cities!

Also, no judgment but I definitely want to do a flowing dress photoshoot with the backdrop of Santorini and my hair flowing in the wind…ugh, I can’t wait haha!

The Maldives

I mean, talk about luxury and opulence! Even as someone who doesn’t know how to swim and has a fear of drowning, I still want to stay at one of their overwater bungalows…just to say I did it (and for the gram haha). I definitely want to be able to see alabaster white beaches with the bluest water!

This may not be a liking for everyone, but I love how isolated and exclusive the Maldives are, as there are no direct flights from the States! If I have to take multiple planes to get there, it’ll definitely be worth the trip!

All over Italy

My favorite food is Italian food, so when I tell you I cannot pick just one city in Italy, I mean it! I dream of the day where I can go to the Amalfi coast, Tuscany, Rome, Milan, Venice, Florence, Naples, etc…and eat all the amazing food!

Honestly, my retirement dream is to move to Italy and open up a flower and chocolate shop, and live in bliss in beautiful Italy.

Now, these are only 5 places that I want to go, but I have so many more places that I want to experience. If I shared them all, this article would be 12 pages long haha!
