How’d She Do It? Rachel Rogers

How’d She Do It? Rachel Rodgers

When life gives you lemons, you make a damn good margarita! Well, in a nutshell that’s kind of what Rachel Rodgers did.

For those of you who are not familiar with this entrepreneur extraordinaire, let’s bring you up to speed. Rachel is founder of Hello Seven, a female-run company specializing in business, marketing, financial, and legal training.

The name Hello Seven comes from the growth scale of finances. You can you land on one of seven levels when speaking about money, which ranges from $0 to 7 figures.

Rachel Rodgers wears many crowns including wife, mama, podcaster, and CEO of a 7-figure business. Her mission is to help every woman she meets to become a millionaire.

For Rachel it’s simple: make more money—PERIOD! Her business is an online community for women who want to make bank.

One of the coolest things that separates Rachel from so many is that her company is women-run specializing in business, marketing, financial, and legal training.

In the month of June 2020, she brought in $1 million in revenue through her business coaching and membership community, Hello Seven. Did we mention she did this all amid a global pandemic?!

Talk about perseverance and determination! She did not let adversity of the world’s shortcomings stop her from achieving the unimaginable.

According to a report from American Express, women-owned businesses represented 42% of all businesses, nearly 13 million, in 2019. While women are closing the gap in starting their own businesses, there’s still a major shortage of women entering the space.

After college, Rachel became a trained intellectual property attorney. She graduated from law school in 2009 and started her own practice in the early 2010s.

As she was practicing, she saw many new entrepreneurs coming out of the blogging boom who needed legal support but could not afford to hire a lawyer.

Small Business Bodyguard
Seeing an open space in the market to help others, she was eager to launch the Small Business Bodyguard, which is an online guide that helps freelancers DIY the legal documents they needed to protect their intellectual property and grow their operations.

During her stint as an attorney, she realized a lot of her clients had bigger concerns outside of legal support and that was helping others build their business.

Fast forward to two years later, and she transitioned from her law practice to a full-time business coach. Rachel remained positive, understanding the assignment was bigger than her.

Hello Seven

In 2017, she created Hello Seven with the mission to help women entrepreneurs scale their business from $100,000 to a million and more.

She felt a deep passion to help women not have to struggle and break the serotype that overworking equates to you getting to the bigger bag. Hustle culture for women looks different than it does for men and that’s just the ugly truth.

Rachel decided to be a resource for women to break the gap and shift the narrative.

Since the success of her business, she decided to start the Hello Seven Podcast to address simple questions such as: how can women make more money?

She takes the time to sit down and takes the opportunity to talk to women just like you and me: women who are on their way to building an empire of generational success.

The Hello Seven Podcast helps women who finally decide they wanted to become millionaires and have done it.

She and her guests share their personal experiences and stories of how they did it, even including mistakes they made and the pivotal moment that changed everything. Talk about a Queen helping another Queen fix her crown!

Rachel Rogers is paving a lane all her own and helping others to do the same. As a woman and a woman of color she not only wants to see women win big, but she is also rooting every underdog that has never been given a fair opportunity.

She advocates for the queer community and every systematically marginalized group, which makes her the ultimate rock star.

The world better put their seatbelts on, because it doesn’t look like she’s slowing down any time soon! So, the very next time you think about throwing that dollar away on something, imagine the empire you could begin building with that same dollar.
