How to Use a Round Brush

There are a variety of hair brushes out there, all of which can be used for different ways of styling your hair. One brush in particular is the round brush. Round brushes are ideal for working with the heat of your blow dryer. It allows you to create the hairstyle you want when combined with a blow dryer. In most cases, the round brush gives your hair that soft curl without the extra heat of a flat iron or curling iron. Along with delivering great curls, it also provides your hair with volume, and longer lasting styles. Check out a few tips for using a round brush.

Finding your brush

The first step in using a round brush, is finding the right brush for you. Depending on the length of your hair, it is important to find a brush that works to manage that length. The most common hairbrush is the medium-size round brush which usually works for both long and short lengths. Once you have found your perfect round brush, be sure you start to use it in conjunction with your blow dryer.

You don’t want to start with soaking wet hair. Give it a chance to air dry to a damp state before beginning. Also, keep in mind that it is easier to work in small sections when using your brush, otherwise you might end up damaging your hair.

Wrap it up

Before you begin with the blow drying, section your hair into small parts. This will make sure your sectioned hair gets dry when using your round brush. Take your blow dryer, wrap the desired hair around the brush, and begin to style your hair how you would like. If you want to go for a sleek, straight look, simply brush from root to tip while still blowing your hair out. To give it a sheen look, add your favorite heat protection and oil before blow drying. Using the round brush is very simple to use, but beware your arms will get a work out!

Add some volume

If you want to add some volume to your hair style, not to worry it is just as simple. While working in the small sections, you just have to wrap your hair around the brush entirely to give it that curl look. The wrapping part is the most crucial technique when learning how to blow dry hair with a round brush.

It is important only wrap the desired hair section once around the brush, otherwise you may get your hair tangled. When blow drying from root to tip, simply go back and forth with the blow dryer. Do not take your hair out of the wrapping until fully dry. Take your time while curling and I’m sure your hair will come out looking fun and fabulous. Want more volume?
