Today’s blog is going to be a little different, because I have been having trouble writing about finance every week. There aren’t that many changes at the moment and I am hoping that my life will settle down for a moment so I can get back on track.
I have been over budget (because of so many things happening and costing me money) and now it is time to buckle down and recover from those losses. This pay check is over spent and in a couple weeks I will be on a business trip that I have pay for. After that I am going home to be with my family for a week. So the month of August is going to be a financially tough month to recover from, but after that there is nothing planned major until the holidays. I still have a goal to be debt free by the end of the year and I am doing decently on that matter. I always use my overtime money to pay down on my debts. So I think I can catch up at some point. All in all from my current state to my goals I think I am one-third of the way there. I just really want for the unexpected things to take a couple of months off. It would make me so happy.
Now I am thinking about myself and my life. I don’t socialize much and I feel at 25, living in a new place, I want to do more with my life. I am going to try something. I am going to start trying to go to free events and see how much I can accomplish with as little money as possible. I am going to try to do one social thing a week. I am also going to start sharing my cheap hacks. I thank you guys for checking out my updates and I hope to be more productive and interesting in the future!

While I love exploring and doing new things, I tend to get into a routine of just work, work, work. I want to start attending (free) events, like Daniella! Getting out there and networking, meeting new people and putting myself in situations to shake up my routine is definitely what I need.
I like it, but it means i have to go outside and talk to people…. DAS TEW MUCH.
I’ve actually gotten on myself about this recently. I work full time and run a business part time; it’s so easy for me to get into a routine. Eventbrite and Facebook have been great resources for me to find events in my area to meet new people, network, and have productive fun. Here’s a cheap hacktrick: http://www.coupons.com! They have printable coupons for all kinds of brands. 🙂 Happy Thursday!
Giirrrlll I need to back away from the sales. IN GENERALLLLLL
Attending free events is a 2 for 1 deal! You get to meet new ppl while still enjoying yourself. I try to remind myself it’s important to take baby steps, one thing at a time! Trying to budget finances never happens over night, stay steadfast and don’t give up. I’m rooting for you and looking forward to all your cheap hacks!!
Thank you! It is really challenging, and uncomfortable. I’m really social, but this is a new place. I hope to get into the swing of doing interesting things.
