5 Ways to Get Rid of Dark Circles

Dark circles are extremely annoying to have! You aren’t the first person to have them and certainly won’t be the last person to get rid of them. Dark circles around your eyes are caused by numerous reasons.

A few of those explanations include a lack of sleep, genetics, or low vitamin levels. Every person is distinct and experiences beauty issues differently. After thorough research, and personal experience, I’m sharing 5 ways to get rid of those dark brown circles and say hello to brighter looking skin.

Almond Oil

If you don’t have any allergy restrictions with almonds or peanuts, I recommend you apply all-natural almond oil around your eyes. It’s a natural ingredient that benefits your skin and helps lighten dark circles. Before you go to sleep, it’s best to apply the almond oil along with a little bit of vitamin E oil around your eyes where the dark circles are.

Once you’ve applied the oil, leave the oil on your face overnight. The next morning, rinse your face with cold water and wash your face with your usual routine. Repeat for a couple of weeks and watch your dark circles lighten up!

Cucumbers

The old fashion uses of cucumbers have always been a way to get rid of puffy and swollen eyes. It’s also a great way to lighten any dark circles around the eyes too! Cucumbers help sooth your eyes and reduce the puffiness from around them. They also provide your skin with hydration which helps with skin-lightening and mild astringent properties.

Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices and place them in the freezer for 30 minutes. Apply the cucumber slices to your eyes and lay down for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, rinse around your eyes and wash your face. Repeat this process twice a day for two weeks and you will begin to see results.

Rose Water

Rose water sounds like a potion you drink to stay beautiful forever! Not many women are aware of the benefits of rose water, but if you are, you know the things it can do to dark circles around your eyes. Rose water rejuvenates your skin and reduces dark circles on tired eyes.  Simply soak a cotton pad with rose water and place over your closed eyes. Leave the cotton pad over your eyes for about 15 minutes. Continue this process twice daily for 2-3 weeks and start to see the difference.

Get More Rest

Most of the time, dark circles are caused by the lack of sleep we deprive our bodies of. It’s important that we let our bodies rest and relax, otherwise it will begin to show. Dark circles are a visual sign of tiredness in many cases. Be sure that you listen to your body and get the sleep you need. Resting and drinking plenty of water can help reduce dark circles around your eyes.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a great resource to take when you begin to notice dark circles appearing around your eyes. Vitamin C can be consumed through certain fruits and veggies such as tomatoes, citrus fruits, and potatoes. Vitamin C can also be consumed as a pill and must be taken as directed by your physician.

Vitamin C can also be applied directly to your dark circles when applied as an oily serum. The vitamin itself helps with immune functioning and age related macular degeneration.

No one is perfect, and our flaws are what makes us beautiful! Don’t ever think for a second that you are the only person going through what you’re going through. Have you experienced dark circles under your eyes? If so, what do you use to get rid of them? Also, have you been able to get rid of them for good?
