6 Tips to Level Up Your Health and Happiness

If there are two things a person should want to level up in their life, it’s their health and their happiness. As we continue our walk on this journey called life, it’s important to know the material list of things fade. A person’s health and happiness are the true riches we all seek to achieve. It’s not so much of a rat race to acquire, as they are the things money can’t always buy. Check out these six tips to help you level up your health and happiness.

Tips to level up your health and happiness!

#1 Protect your Peace
Protecting your peace is free of charge. In fact, it’s a personal journey, where ultimately you make the decisions and set boundaries for yourself. These are boundaries that you’ve determined to be in your own best interests. It can look and feel differently for everyone, so it’s best not to compare your journey to another. What boundary you may set probably feels scary, but if you know it’s going to help you in the long haul, it will be beneficial.

If there is someone in your life who is constantly nagging and only bringing up the negative, it’s best to communicate a boundary that your plate is full, and you don’t currently have the bandwidth to lend a listening ear.

Sometimes, placing those boundaries can comes as a shock to others, but if they understand the journey or happiness you are trying to achieve, they will respect and understand why they have been placed to begin with. Boundaries are based on your relationship with yourself, so only you can set your boundaries.

#2 Practice Gratitude

A lot of times, we get so consumed in the things that don’t really serve us that we forget to practice gratitude. Understanding the reality of where you’ve come, where you are now in this very moment and how close you are to achieving your goals is gratitude. If you didn’t know, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness.

You are not the same person you were last year, last month, or even two weeks ago. We are constantly evolving and growing into the person we have intended to be. There are some mighty benefits when you begin to incorporate gratitude in your daily life.

When you take a moment or two out of your day to practice some sort of gratitude you will not only feel a more positive emotion, but you will find yourself relishing in good experiences. Gratitude will also improve your health and the way you think. When learning to apply gratitude to your life you will have a better grasp on how to deal with adversity and build strong relationships. #3 Buy Your Experiences

A purchase doesn’t always mean walking out of a designer store with a bag in each hand. In fact, you can purchase a staycation in a place you’ve never visited before to clear your mind and bring some peace to a hectic situation.

Buying an experience is so undervalued but so beneficial. A day at the spa by yourself or with your tribe can be just what the doctor ordered. Studies show people are happier with experiential purchases over material ones, regardless of how you measure happiness.

#4 Get Some Physical Activity
Physical activity is, without a doubt, one of the best ways to level up your health. By being physically active, you can improve your brain health, manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities.

Adding some physical activity to your daily routine can be incorporated at your leisure. Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs. Be opposed to parking closer to the entrance and opt for a parking stall towards the back to get your steps in. There are plenty of internet trainers who help share beginner to intermediate levels of workouts to whip you in shape.

Several studies have found that exercise helps depression too! So, swap them pajama pants for yogi pants and slide yourself right into a hot girl walk. Simply a minimum of 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity on most, preferably all, days can alter your well-being.

#5 Drink your Fluids

Our bodies are made up of a great deal of fluids, so it’s important that we continue to fuel our bodies as such. Studies suggest that people who regularly drink milk, in moderation, tend to have healthier diets that are richer in nutrients.

Nonetheless, the number one fluid to consume is water. It’s the best choice for quenching your thirst and flushing out any unwanted toxins from your body. Another great beverage to consume is Kombucha, which is a fermented beverage made with water, tea, sugar, bacteria, and yeast. Kombucha is great for those who are looking to support digestion and overall gut health.

Alternatively, smoothies are great to boost your health as it’s a blend of all your favorite fruits and veggies with healthy sources of protein and fiber.

#6 Identify the Negative

Don’t get it twisted, happy people still have problems. The key is navigating bad things as best you can. The ability to acknowledge and counter negative thoughts is unmatched. Negative thoughts will try to creep in and distract you. Rather than falling into the same old cycle, instead identify where these thoughts originated and how best you can take charge of the narrative of turning that negative into a positive.

Remember, a bad moment does not count for a bad day. So what if you spilled a latte on your blouse?! Turn that bad moment into a funny story to share as an ice breaker among unfamiliar faces and watch how many folks will offer their support. You are the creator of your happiness.
