5 Ways to Use Rose Water

These days, it seems like Rose water is in everything, am I right? Rose water has been used since the beginning of time, literally. With all of the amazing things it can do and be used for, it’s worth its weight in gold! Even Queen Cleopatra loved it! She was a huge fan of rose water for its beauty benefits; as am I!

It’s full of amazing properties that your body will thank you for. You can even make your own, but I’ll get into that a little later. So, if you’re looking for a new product to add to your beauty regimen or are in need of a new way to use this liquid gold here are five great ways to use rose water.

Bathe in it

Add a few drops of rose water into your bath for the most absorption into your skin. Bathing in it will help with things like eczema and dermatitis. It will leave your body smelling great and feeling refreshed.

Spray it on

Using a spritz before and/or after putting on your makeup will keep it fresh throughout the day. You can even use it alone as a toner to keep your skin dewy and moisturized. It maintains the PH balance in your skin and keeps the excess oils at bay.

Hair care

The vitamins in rose petals work wonders on your hair. It soothes scalp irritation and helps prevent dandruff. You can make your own or buy some and mix it into your shampoo and conditioner. You can also make hair masks and leave-in treatments with rose petals or rose water.

Acne cure all

Rose water has been proven to be very effective in clearing acne. It reduces redness and clears your pores. Just add some fresh lemon juice to your rose water and leave it on for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, wash it off with lukewarm water. Doing this about three times a week will have your skin clear in no time.

Makeup remover

Using rose water as a makeup remover is a great way to take off your makeup, especially if you don’t like using oils. With rose water, there is no residue left over, which is great. It also removes and any impurities that may be left after washing your face.
