5 Tricks for a Cozier Bed

The one place that you never want to have problems in is the bedroom. Your bed should exude relaxation and be that place of comfort when you’re ready for a good night’s sleep. Outside of the standard bedding, there are certain things you can do to make your bed the ultimate spot for coziness and comfortability. The CGS Team is sharing 5 tricks to help make your bed cozier and comfier.

Down Comforters are the Way to Go

Wonder why hotel beds always seem incredibly comfortable? They use down comforters in their standard bedding. Down comforters give beds that fluffy, comfy look, and they are amazing to sleep with. Spend your nights on a cloud! Down comforters range in prices as little as $35 all the way up to over $200. You don’t need to shell out a lot of cash for a down comforter, Amazon has some great, low-cost options.

Keep Your Toes Warm

It’s not bad to be a little too hot when sleeping, but it’s never good to be cold. If our bed reminds us of an igloo, why would we want to get in it? If your toes are hanging out of your blanket and giving you the chills, cover them up! Another trick hotels use is to tuck the top sheet and your base blanket in on both sides of the bed as well as at the foot. This will allow your body to be bundled up and kept at a comfortable temperature.

Cover Up Your Mattress

Mattress covers are an absolute necessity! Not only do mattress covers help keep that expense mattress (all mattresses are expensive, aren’t they?) clean, they help add to the fluffy factor for your bed. Thanks to mattress covers now coming in goose down or shearling, you can enjoy all of the benefits they provide.

Incorporate Pillows for Comfort and Beauty

A bed full of beautiful pillows is wonderful to look at, but almost makes you not want to get in for fear of ruining that beauty! While decorative pillows add a great physical touch, it’s important to make sure they are also comfortable or kept to a minimum while being paired with comfortable pillows. Plus, who wants to make a bed full of too many pillows every morning?

Have a Signature Scent

Remember the article 5 Home Relaxation Essentials? Candles and oils that promote relaxation with their scents make a world of difference when getting ready for bed. Whether you prefer calming scents like lavender or eucalyptus, or always want the smell of fresh linen, giving your bedroom a signature scent will allow you to associate that scent with rest, relaxation, and sleep – all things we need to be our best selves!
