5 Task Management Tools I Can’t Live Without

Productivity is a force to be reckoned with—but so is procrastination. Fortunately, I’m not a procrastinator. I just can’t do it, because I wind up constantly thinking about what I need to get done. It’s easier for me to just get my task done, and then I can do whatever I want. With that said, there is a lot that I need to get done on an ongoing basis and if there’s anything that will make it easier, like task management tools, I’m all for it!

Being a business owner, working full-time, and running a household automatically comes with an extra-long to-do list. That means I need tools and systems that help me manage my tasks and my time. I’m sharing 5 tasks management tools I couldn’t see myself living without. I don’t know what I did before these tools! I hope they can help you improve your productivity too!

5 Task Management Tools I Can’t Live Without

#1 Asana

This isn’t the first time I’ve mentioned Asana and it certainly won’t be the last time! Asana is a task and project management platform that helps individuals and businesses stay on track. I first started using Asana just for myself, to manage the tasks I needed to get done in my business.

I eventually took a training program on how to set Asana up for success and my productivity skyrocketed! So much so that I eventually got my team’s tasks set up in Asana as well. It’s such a helpful tool for staying on track and managing everything that needs to get done, whether it’s a recurring or one-off task!

#2 Notion

I recently got introduced to Notion and I fell in love with it instantly. Notion acts as a hub for your business or personal life. You can create databases, store meeting notes, build tables with formula tracking, share with teammates, and more. I can tell that I’m only scratching the surface with it, so I do plan on taking a training to ensure I’m getting the most out of it.

Notion does offer a free version, which is great to take advantage of until you get your feet wet. There are also numerous ways to earn credits to be applied as discounts on your bill!

Not only is having all of your information in one place helpful from an organization perspective, but it’s nice to know that you can access your information from anywhere. Thanks to the cloud capability, your information is always available, regardless of where you’re checking in from.

#3 Dropbox (or Google Drive)
I’m currently using both Dropbox and Google Drive for storing and sharing data. I believe any individual or business needs a single repository for all of their information (private or not). Having one centralized place you can go to and find everything you need is such a time saver!

#4 Slack

Another tool I started using this year is Slack. I currently use it for cross-communication with my team and also communication from multiple systems I have. For example, when a client purchases a CGS budget plan, my Slack sends me a cute, emoji-filled notification instantly. It’s a great way for me and my team to get a boost during our day!

I have plenty of Slack notifications set up, so I can always be aware of what’s going on in my business. Slack can also be used to communicate with others, whether clients, teammates, or business partners. Having one central location for communication makes life a lot easier.

#5 Acuity Scheduling

The final tool I can’t live without is Acuity Scheduling. I use it to manage all of my sales calls, client meetings, and team pull-ups. It’s a great system for making sure calls aren’t being double booked. It’s also nice to set up one schedule and have multiple call types follow that schedule.

Previously, I sometimes forgot to add calls to my calendar and would wind up double-booked. It caused me so much anxiety! With Acuity, I know I don’t have to worry about that anymore. I also get notifications when calls are added to my calendar. Using Acuity allows me to focus on other things and show up when I need to!
