4 Ways to Make the Most of the New Year

New phone, who this?! Although it’s the New Year it doesn’t mean you’re not the same person you were before. Everyone believes when the New Year comes they magically turn into someone different. Someone who works out every day, pays off all their debt, and eats better than before. If that isn’t a lie, then we don’t know what is! However, there are ways to make the most of the new year and still be yourself!

There are differences when making New Year resolutions, and making promises to yourself. Statistically, resolutions don’t last because they are unrealistic goals. We want you to focus on being the same person, just making the most of the New Year! We’re sharing 4 ways to make 2017 an impactful year, without changing who you are!

How you can make the most of the New Year

Business Minded

If you’re a business owner looking to make your company grow and profit in the New Year it’s important to stay on top of trends. The typical resolutions often revolve around losing weight or bettering your health. Why not make the best of the New Year by improving your businesses and making it better for your consumers?

Reap the rewards of your hard work, by listening to what the consumer wants. Create surveys, send polls, and ask questions on social media. Your audience will surely answer! If you don’t have a business yet, but are thinking of starting one. Start by asking your friends and family how valuable they would find your business idea. Would they use your service or product? Getting feedback can make a world of difference before you start your business.

Set Boundaries

Making yourself a priority this year is something you must do.  You will thank us later for this suggestion, because when boundaries are set you begin to make time for the most important in the world…yourself! Saying no every once in a while is OK. When friends, coworkers, or family ask you to do things last minute which puts a damper on your day a simple “no” reply has never killed anyone. Setting boundaries of how you use your time will be the start of something beautiful. When others begin to see you value your time, they too will value you.

Get More Sleep

The grind is free and the hustle is sold separately, but has anyone ever mentioned sleep?! Sleep is a vital part your everyday hustle. Without it, it’s almost impossible to function. Sleep is the number factor why people can (or can’t) excel in their everyday job and tasks. Sleep is also important because it helps you avoid those not-so-complimentary bags under your eyes. Getting enough rest is healthy for your brain, and great for the body. Want to make the most of your sleep? Check out the read Get Your Beauty Rest.

Write Your Goals Down

Making dreams into reality isn’t something someone said one day and then all of sudden it happened. Making your dreams something real takes time, hard work, and perseverance. The first thing anyone does when they have an idea, is write it down. It has been proven that writing down your goals makes them more likely to be achieved. When it’s on paper, it’s real, it has meaning.  Share them with others so you are held accountable.

You don’t want to be that person that always has ideas but never follow through. Create a blog or share on social media to really make an impact! This principle is called social consistency. Also, try a Vision Board.

This year is full of great things to come! Continue to better yourself, and remove things that no longer serve a purpose in your life. You deserve greatness and don’t let anyone tell you differently. How are you going to make this year better than the last year? Leave a comment below to share your goals and stay accountable!
